A maximum of 248 general fields can be created.
Although shared fields are handled centrally on Pupil Tracking they are part of the subject maximum of 500 fields per subject.
The total number of shared fields available is calculated using the formula below:
500 - (Highest No of subject specific fields being used by a single subject + No shared fields currently being used) = Total available shared fields.
To illustrate this consider the example below:
The subject Maths has 50 shared fields and 50 subject specific fields making a total of 100 fields. If another 60 shared fields were added making a total of 110 shared fields then Maths would have 340 subject specific fields left to use 500-(110+50) = 340.
Subject Specific Fields
The number of available subject specific fields may be calculated using the formula below:
500 - No shared fields currently being used + No subject specific fields currently being used = No of available subject specific fields.
